More signs point to bright solar future here at home in New Brunswick

When we started in 2016, we felt we were early responders to global trends. Since then we have witnessed several events that favour the regional development of utility solar right here in New Brunswick. In addition to increased panel efficiencies and dropping costs, we’ve seen these key developments - and so much more - that all point to the economic, environmental, and social viability of large-scale solar here in New Brunswick:

  • Solar accounts for 482 MW of the 546 MW approved by the Maine Public Utilities Commission (September 20, 2020)

  • Government unveil $25M Solar Energy Project at Sleman Park (August 13, 2020)

  • 39 MW Solar Project to be built in Southern Alberta, with the Power Purchase Agreement signed between the project developer and Bullfrog Power and the Royal Bank of Canada (July 28, 2020)

  • $69M plan for Summerside Solar Farm announced Tuesday (January 14, 2020)
